Bart Robinson is currently Communications Director for the Alberta Ecotrust Foundation. In former years, he was an award-winning journalist, a founding editor of Equinox Magazine, the Executive Director of the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative, and a Fortune 500 business consultant with Business Design Associates. More recently, he completed two years as a Research Associate at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and has been active on several boards, including the Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley, the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative, the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Association (Southern Alberta), and Water Matters. His professional interests encompass large-scale conservation, sustainability and community stewardship, and his hobbies include a variety of outdoor pursuits, reading and music.
Specific to The Natural Step, Bart served as the coordinator for The Natural Step to a Sustainable Canmore in 2005 and 2006 and was Program Director of the Bow Valley Sustainability Hub from 2007 to 2009. During the same period he was active as a Senior TNS Sustainability Associate and helped develop a number of TNS educational materials.
Bart lives in Canmore, Alberta with his wife Barbara.
