Bob Masterson

Bob is Vice president Responsible Care with the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada. Developed in Canada in 1985 at a time the chemistry industry’s social licence to operate was in serious question, Responsible Care is now practiced in 62 countries around the world. A true Canadian success story.

Bob is honoured to be leading the Association’s Responsible Care efforts, being just the third person entrusted to this important role in the 27 years since the initiative was launched.

Bob holds an Engineering Degree from Queen’s University, and completed a Masters in Public Policy at Carleton University.  He has worked in Ontario’s nuclear power sector, and spent 15 years as a consultant on environment and sustainability issues within many industrial sectors, including forest products, electricity generation, cement, mining and energy.
