Accelerate 2013 - Collaboration Open Space
Brendan Seale opened this session with an introduction to Open Space; a facilitated meeting process for times when there is a real issue of concern that’s worth talking about, there’s a diversity of people, there is real or potential conflict, and a sense of urgency. The theme was collaboration, and participants were invited to host discussions in either of the two 30-minute rounds. In an Open Space, hosts are responsible for showing up, facilitating the conversation, and harvesting shared knowledge. The topics which were hosted encompassed a vast range of ideas. At the conclusion of the session, participants shared highlights of their conversations. The summaries from all of topic hosts has been compiled into an Open Space Report.
