Laurie Simmonds

Laurie is a leading strategist and marketing, communications and events expert in the specialized fields of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the environment. She has successfully expanded the scope of Green Living’s business offerings to include corporate consulting, marketing, custom publishing, online content development and event management. In 2007, Laurie launched The Green Living Show, which has grown to become the largest environmental consumer show globally. Under her leadership, Green Living also produces the Green Toronto Awards, the Environmental Media Awards, the Scotiabank EcoLiving Awards and the Excellence in Corporate Responsibility Awards. She is responsible for rebranding and publishing Green Living magazine, launching Scotiabank’s EcoLiving magazine and The Home Depot’s Eco Options magazine.

In 2009, she created and introduced the Green Living Business Forum, a high-level information exchange and networking opportunity for green business specialists and Canadian business leaders. She sits on the boards of the Clean Water Foundation, Environmental Defence and One Prosper Foundation and on the advisory boards of P&G and the Yves Rocher Women of the Earth Awards. In 2011, Laurie received Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 award from the Women's Executive Network (WXN).
