Monica Pohlmann

Monica is a sustainability strategist and facilitator with a focus on accelerating community and organisational sustainability through dialogue and creative strategy. After two decades of focus on community planning and environmental policy, half with The City of Calgary, she founded Monica K Pohlmann & Associates in 2007 and specializes in facilitation and stakeholder engagement, strategic/business planning, sustainability indicators and reporting — all with the goal of connecting people and ideas to new possibilities to thrive.

Also an active community volunteer, she co-founded Sustainable Calgary and has served on numerous other boards and advisory committees including the REAP Green Business Association, Resilient Region Exchange, the Calgary Public Library and the National Affairs Committee of the Canadian Institute of Planners.

She has a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Environmental Design (Planning), a Dialogue, Deliberation and Public Engagement certificate from Fielding Graduate University, is a Registered Professional Planner and member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals.
